Crispy Smashed Balsamic Glazed Brussels

Getting your greens has never been easier (or more delicious) thanks to this recipe for crispy smashed brussels sprouts from our friend Abby over at The Balanced Whisk. 😛  Take our Glazed Brussels Sprouts & Bacon to the next level by cooking in an air fryer for some added crunch. Trust us, your whole family will be begging for seconds!

You’ll Need:

  • 1 package Happi Foodi Glazed Brussels Sprouts & Bacon
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 3 tablespoons agave
  • 1 tablespoons lemon juice
  • dash of salt & pepper
  • air fryer
  • drinking glass with a flat bottom

Heat the Happi Foodi Glazed Brussels Sprouts & Bacon according to package directions. Place foil or parchment paper on a baking sheet. Spread contents of the bowl on the sheet. Using the drinking glass, smash the brussels sprouts until flat. Place smashed brussels sprouts in the air fryer (be sure to not crowd the basket) and cook for 15 minutes at 225°F or 5 minutes at 400°F. Flip halfway through. Combine the agave, lemon juice, garlic, salt, pepper and sauce from the Happi Foodi bowl to create a glaze. Let the brussels sprouts sit for 15 minutes, then drizzle the sauce on top. Cook for an additional 5-10 minutes at 400°F or until you reach desired crunchiness.
