Now that you’ve got your tunes playing, it’s time to grab a drink and hit the dance kitchen floor. We’re sharing a few of our favorite holiday cocktails and mocktails that would pair perfectly with any of our tasty appetizers, entrees or sides.
Bella Rosa
This tasty treat is an original Happi Foodi cocktail created by Sharon Yeung out of Austin, TX. Pro tip: serve at brunch with our oatmeal or keto breakfast bowls.
You’ll need:
2.5 oz Cocchi Rosa
.75 oz lemon juice
.5 oz raspberry jam syrup*
2 dash Angostura bitters
Add all ingredients into a shaker tin and shake well over ice. Stain into a chilled glass and garnish with grapefruit peel.
*Raspberry jam syrup
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup water
1 cinnamon stick
1 green cardamom pod
2 tablespoons raspberry jam
Pinch of salt
Heat sugar and water over medium heat until sugar is completely dissolved. Add cinnamon stick and cardamom, simmer for 10 minutes. Once cooled, discard cinnamon and cardamom pod. Add raspberry jam and pinch of salt. Blend well. Strain with fine strainer or cheesecloth.
Holiday Sangria
You'll Need:
2 blood oranges or oranges
1/4 cup candied ginger
1 cup fresh cranberries or pomegranates
1/3 cup Cranberry or pomegranate, juice
1 (12 ounce) ginger beers
1 cup apple cider
1/2 apple brandy or brandy
1 (750 ml) bottle white wine, dry
In a large pitcher, combine all the ingredients except the ginger beer. Stir and then place in the fridge until chilled. Before serving, add the ginger beer. Fill each glass with ice and pour the sangria over the ice.
Old Fashioned
You’ll Need:
1 sugar cube
2 dashes Angostura bitter
2 ounces rye or bourbon
Dried orange or blood orange for garnish
Stir sugar, bitters, and 2 teaspoons of warm water in a rocks glass until most of the sugar is dissolved. Add 3 ice cubes or 1 large ice cube and pour rye or bourbon over. Stir 20 seconds to chill cocktail and dilute liquor. Garnish with a dried orange slice if using.
Gingerbread White Russian
You’ll Need:
2 ounces (1/4 cup) vodka
1 1/2 ounces (3 tablespoons) Kahlua
1-2 ounces (2-4 tablespoons) heavy cream
Rim each glass in cinnamon sugar. Fill the glass with ice. Add the vodka and Kahlua. Stir gently. Add the heavy cream and stir to combine. Garnish with cinnamon sticks if desired.
Espresso Martini
You'll Need:
2 oz espresso
2 oz kahlua
4 oz vodka
Topping:
Whipped cream
Shaved chocolate
Combine all the ingredients in a shaker over ice. Shake for about 2 minutes. Get the martini nice and cold. Serve immediately and garnish with whipped cream and shaved chocolate or whole espresso beans.
